Commercial Transfer Switches

The transfer switch monitors utility power and signals the generator to start when utility power is interrupted. When utility power returns, the transfer switch returns the electrical load from the generator back to the utility. This ensures your most important electrical loads are powered, within seconds, even when you're away.

The transfer switch is the difference between a truly automatic generator set and just another generator. No toggles to flip, no knobs to turn, no extension cords to run when you lose utility power. Suggested Transfer Switch

When choosing a transfer switch, you must match or exceed the generator output amperage. The following table illustrates a suggested transfer switch to use with each generator. The transfer switch to be used is based on the kW rating and voltage of the generator. All GUARDIAN transfer switches are UL 1008 Listed to meet safety and performance standards. RTS transfer switches can be used for the commercial line of generators 60 kw and below. The HTS transfer switches can be used for 70 kw and above.

RTS 100-400 AMP

These transfer switches are designed for a wide variety of applications that require up to 400 amps. RTS transfer switches are used with GUARDIAN generators that utilize a 3.0 liter engine or smaller. For larger generator engines, an HTS transfer switch must be used.

HTS 100-800 AMP

These transfer switches are designed for simple monitoring, operation and maintenance. Common controls and LED lights are conveniently located on the front door panel. All components are front adjustable and removable for serviceability. HTS transfer switches can only be used with generators that utilize engines over 3.0 liters.
